Federal Agents Find Gloves At the Guthrie House

The investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance continues, drawing the eyes of world media. Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of TODAY host Savannah Guthrie, was taken from her home in the Catalina Foothills of Arizona on February 1. Recently, neighbors have been questioned, as federal agents continue to comb through the evidence looking for signs of hope. 

Last Thursday, federal agents went back to Guthrie’s house, reportedly briefly setting up a white tent as part of their investigation. While there were no definite leads at the time of this report, federal investigators did find gloves at Guthrie’s house, and sent them ahead for testing.

Nancy Guthrie is a Democrat politician. She formerly served as a Democratic member of West Virginia’s House of Delegates. Crime experts are “split” on the motive behind her abduction. One forensic investigator analyzing the evidence has entertained the theory that her kidnapping originally started out as another crime like burglary and home invasion, local news in Arizona reports.
