Shooting in Kenosha Leaves Teen Dead, Two Injured

Investigation Launched by District Attorney’s Office

A teenage boy, age 16, died in a Kenosha apartment shooting, Wednesday, February 4, Kenosha Police Department confirmed. Two additional students were seriously injured in the altercation. 

The student who died attended Bradford High School. The severely injured students attended Indian Trail high, according to local Kenosha County reports. 

The shooting took place inside an apartment in the vicinity of 600 block of 6 avenue and 60th street, within a block of Liberty Park, local news reports.  Police responding to the scene told media that “multiple suspects” fled into a nearby apartment at the time of the incident. 

Kenosha Unified School District responds to the shooting with a message of solidarity and comfort for the community, confirming that Kenosha PD believes the event is “isolated.” 

At the time of this report, it was unclear what events led to the shooting. Police are investigating, with the help of Kenosha County District Attorney Xavier Solis and his investigator Brian Stuht.
