Grace Jabbari, the ex-girlfriend of former Marvel actor Jonathan Majors, has dropped her federal lawsuit against him following his engagement to actress Meagan Good.
According to Variety, Jonathan Majors was destined for a breakout year in 2023, with starring roles in major films like “Creed III” alongside Michael B. Jordan and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” Majors and Jabbari first crossed paths in 2021 on the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania, where Jabbari served as a movement coach.
On March 25, 2023, Jonathan Majors was arrested on allegations of choking, assaulting, and harassing Jabbari, according to NBC News. By December 2023, Majors was convicted on two misdemeanor counts related to the assault and was sentenced to domestic violence counseling earlier this year as part of a plea deal to avoid jail time.
Majors claimed that Jabbari had been in a jealous rage and she was the aggressor during the incident. He stated he was trying to regain control of his phone and get away safely. Jabbari alleged that Majors hit her in her head; she also alleged that he twisted her arm behind her back and fractured her middle finger, according to CBS News.
After Majors was found guilty, he was dropped from his management and PR firms. Marvel also cut ties with him, and he was removed from his role as the lead villain in “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.” The film was ultimately scrapped, according to Variety.

In March 2024, Jabbari filed a defamation lawsuit against Majors, citing statements he made during an interview with “Good Morning America.” In the interview, Majors denied being responsible for Jabbari’s injuries and stated, “I have “never laid [my] hands on a woman.”
According to CBS News, in the lawsuit, Jabbari accused Majors of assault, battery, defamation, and emotional distress during their relationship.
The former Marvel actor has expressed his desire to resume his acting career and rebuild his reputation despite the legal troubles. He recently landed a role in Martin Villeneuve’s upcoming film, “Merciless”. In early November 2024, Majors and actress Meagan Good announced their engagement at the Ebony Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles. The pair went public with their relationship in May 2023. The couple stated they met at the same gala two years prior.
Shortly after Majors and Good announced their engagement, Jabbari’s attorneys said that the lawsuit had been settled, calling it “very favorably.” Brad Edward, who is one of Jabbari’s attorneys, said, “That is how every case ends after it is resolved,” according to Variety.
One of Jabbari’s other attorneys, Brittany Henderson, said, “Grace Jabbari exhibited tremendous courage through this very long and difficult process.” According to Variety, Henderson went on to explain, “As a result of her commitment to justice, the lawsuit that she filed against Jonathan Majors has been favorably settled. We hope that she can finally put this chapter behind her and move forward with her head held high”.
With the news of the lawsuit being settled and dropped, along with Majors’ confirmed engagement to Good, questions now arise about where his career stands and whether he can pick up where he left off.
