American commentator Candace Owens has recently found herself in hot water with pop artist Beyoncé and her mother, Tina Knowles, after making a recent claim that the Kamala Harris campaign paid Beyoncé for her endorsement.
The situation became worse when Meta removed Candace’s post, allowing Beyoncé’s mother Tina to address the claims on Instagram. This is when Candace fired back by accusing Beyoncé of avoiding criticism. “Beyoncé needs to stop posting from her burner account,” Candace stated in The Source.
Candace defended her original post by implying that she never meant to state her claims in a way that seemed genuine. She also cited multiple sources to find validation for her claims but found no response.
Candace even called out Beyoncé’s choice to remain silent in comparison to Cardi B’s approach when it came to addressing essential questions in the past. “People share untrue reports on me all the time—do I call Mark Zuckerberg?” Candace stated. Candace then turns up the heat more through actions that would later bring Beyonce’s mom into the picture.
“Owens remarked, criticizing the apparent involvement of Meta in removing her commentary.” Writer Shawn Grant stated in The Source. “She ended her rebuttal with a pointed critique: “Sending your literal mama to defend you as opposed to just responding to journalists asking questions… is childish af.””
Since then, there have been intense reactions throughout social media, wherein fans and critics have given their thoughts about the situation. Beyoncé still has yet to respond to these claims and online attacks, and the dramatically intense exchange between the two public figures remains as political and cultural debates take place.
