Trump Appoints Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as HHS Leader: Implications for Public Health

Recently, Donald Trump has selected Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. This is an exciting pick for Trump, considering that RFK Jr dropped out of his election to endorse Donald Trump for president.

This is also reported to be a controversial pick as well, considering that RFK Jr.’s history of claiming that vaccines cause autism. This would also cause many health experts to be concerned about this pick due to Donald Trump’s statements during the campaign suggesting that RFK Jr. would have unrestricted control of the health and food policy in his administration.

As stated in POLITICO. Donald Trump also sees this as a political gain for him, considering his massive electoral win for him and the Republican Party. He also sees this as a beneficial win for the American people as well.

Recently, RFK Jr. publicly stated that he doesn’t intend to take vaccines from anyone.
