As if losing the 2024 general election wasn’t bad enough, things just became worse for Kamala Harris. According to recent reports, Kamala Harris now has a financial crisis to think about as well.

“The Kamala Harris campaign is now $20 million in debt, and Lindy Li, a member of the DNC Finance Committee, said she and others were misled about the vice president’s chances of winning the election.” Washington Correspondent Kellie Meyer stated in News Nation.

Li’s part was to help Kamala Harris raise money for the campaign, in which she was able to raise millions of dollars. Today, she must explain to voters why Kamala lost, and vendors and staff members are worried they won’t receive payment for their work.

The Harris campaign spent six figures for Kamala to make her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper. The Harris campaign also spent a good portion of money on celebrity performances as well as other public appearances.

“Another big-ticket item was $15 million spent on event production that went toward celebrity performances, like the election eve rally with Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin,” Kellie stated. “Harris also reportedly paid $1 million to Harpo Productions, which is owned by Oprah Winfrey, who did a town hall with Harris back in September and appeared at that election eve rally in Philadelphia.”

A Democratic source explained that the financial circumstances for the democratic party are terribly unfortunate considering that the Harris campaign spent a multitude of money just to end up losing to Donald Trump.

“It takes remarkable incompetence to spend $1 billion in 90 days, lose market share, allow Donald Trump’s election, and end up in debt,” stated the source.
