Since the 2024 presidential election, democrats have been trying to make sense about how this could have happened in the first place and a lot of it involves blaming people who they believe is most responsible.

Interestingly, many democrats have decided to blame current president Joe Biden for running for reelection to begin with. “Democrats are directing their rage over losing the presidential race at Joe Biden, who they blame for setting up Kamala Harris for failure by not dropping out sooner.” Reporter Adam Cancryn stated in POLITICO.

According to Adam, democrats believe that Biden’s age, concerns about his mental decline, and decrease in popularity with voters placed democrats at a disadvantage wherein they are furious to have been forced to support a candidate that voters didn’t want, and allowed himself to stay in the race longer than he should have when there was no clear path to victory. 

“He shouldn’t have run,” Top Aide Jim Manley stated. “This is no time to pull punches or be concerned about anyone’s feelings. He and his staff have done an enormous amount of damage to this country.” 

According to democrats, Joe Biden wasted valuable time during the months of his campaign only to have everything backfire at the debate back in June. Democrats also believed that by the time Joe Biden was ready to finally pass the torch to Kamala Harris, she became burdened down with too many challenges and not enough time to create a convincing argument for herself. 

When Kamala Harris took over as the democratic nominee, there was enthusiasm, optimism, and hope to defeat Donald Trump. However, any success Kamala made was overshadowed by the flaws of the Biden administration.
