Approximately a dozen Los Angeles Dodgers fans were arrested. Anarchy ensued as the MLB team won the 2024 MLB World Series, beating the New York Yankees in the highly anticipated championship.
As the city of Los Angeles celebrated their 8th winning streak in the World Series on Wednesday night, many disorderly Dodger fans took to the city streets. They engaged in petty crimes such as commercial burglary, receiving stolen property, and failure to disperse as chaos swept the city streets.
According to the New York Post, many Dodger fans mobbed and looted a boarded-up Nike store shortly after 11 p.m., as they stole merchandise from the major retailer.

The Los Angeles Police Department released surveillance footage of the looters as they carried the stolen goods and threw the items into parked cars four miles away from the Los Angeles Dodgers Stadium.
Footage of the chaos was shared on the Citizens app, which shows approximately 200 to 300 Dodger fans setting a graffiti-covered bus ablaze just about a mile from the Dodgers Stadium.

According to KTLA, one Dodgers fan was seen wearing a blue shirt that was used as a fire extinguisher, smashing the front of the bus window as he yelled, “**** the Yankees!” and the flames took over the destroyed vehicle located on Sunset Boulevard and Echo Park Avenue.
Looters also targeted other downtown Los Angeles businesses as they raided the major retail sneaker store.
According to NBC Los Angeles, unruly looters shattered the front window of a Foot Locker and many businesses, and an LAPD patrol car was vandalized.
Three Los Angeles Police Department officers received minor injuries as they made arrests in connection to the looting, according to NBC Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department has yet to disclose the exact number of arrests that were made during the chaotic night of celebration.
Although police mainly kept the peace, a tactical alert that had been issued for the entire city on Wednesday was canceled.
However, on Thursday morning, cops continued to patrol the Echo Park neighborhood.
