So, what is Beyonce doing at a Presidential rally for Kamala Harris? Let’s just say it is NOT about her. It has nothing to do with her music or selling records. It is not even about the simple fact that her “Freedom” song had been selected for a presidential campaign. For a change, it is about someone else. This event was solely about supporting another woman who happened to be running for President.

So … Why Beyonce?

Beyonce wants to show that not only are her views similar to Kamala Harris’s but that she is also just like us. She is a regular human being as well as a true democrat with similar values and emotions.

She mentions being there “not as a politician or celebrity but as a mother,” relating to what mothers go through and think about on a daily basis. She has the same sort of mindset and understands Harris’s views. This is why her presence at the rally is so meaningful and vital to Harris’s candidacy.

Beyonce also talked about unity and dignity, which Harris passionately represents. She mentioned the importance of “singing a new song,” just as Harris constantly voices the need for change, especially when it comes to her plans to handle particular challenges differently.

This not only demonstrates just how mentally connected these women are despite their contrasting lifestyles. This positive message also shows the public that we are all capable of holding an identical perspective.
